Reinstall CHKDSK?

I installed Diskeeper Pro Premier 2009 on my computer and need to run chkdsk before it will run automatically. When I reboot my computer, chkdsk says it is missing files and can not run. Soooo, I used my recovery CD for Windows XP and got CHKDSK to run, and it said that there were files that needed to be fixed, but it didn't fix them. It also didn't fix chkdsk. Please help me! I hope that I didn't mess this up worse... :cry Thanks Everyone!

 

try it again using chkdsk /p this time. should replace the missing file(s)

 

Thanks! I'm not sure that it worked or if this is another problem. (I was able to run the defrag so that part worked!) When the computer reboots, it goes into autocheck? I get a blue screen with this message....

try the same method that you did to get chkdsk to run but this time type in chkdsk c:/r
