No Results From Windows Memory Test?

I recently ran the Memory Diagnostic Tool that comes standard with Windows 7 in the Administrative Tools section. It prompts me to restart and then runs the check. After several hours overnight, I returned to find my computer booted back to my desktop with no dialogs or results of any kind. I Googled and found I was suppose to go into the Event Viewer to find it. However, after searching for the results and drilling down to the Microsoft>Windows level on the left; no results for said scan were found. It's like the test was never ran.

I later burned a copy of memtest86+ and booted to that. After 13+ hours and five passes (with no errors) decided that was enough.

Two questions I'm left with: I've read varying statements but was that long enough in memtest86+ to assume my RAM is good with no memory problems? Second, why didn't Windows produce a log for the scan? Is that a glitch of some kind?

Thanks for the info. I was not actually having any issues with RAM that I knew of. I was just doing regularly scheduled maintenance on my PC and I thought it might be a good idea.

While I'm fairly confident my memory is ok, what now concerns me is that Windows didn't show any results in the event viewer for the first scan I ran. Is that cause for concern? Could something in the OS be acting up or corrupted?
