Firefox running slow

I am running the Mozilla Firefox browser under Windows XP and it is has alot slower load rate than Internet Explorer. It kinda like dial up in that it scrolls down the page loading slowly. I was wondering has anyone else had this type of problem?

When I was using IE, everything loaded quickly. I am running DSL, and with IE it wasn't a problem, but I like the user interface of firefox, but hate the slow load rate.

Anyone have any suggestions?

You might be interested ink the Tweak Network Settings extension here:

Try that, see if you can speed it up a bit.
