Cookies n' Cache Internet Troubles

Same system, same everything. This may have to do with the strange Commit Charge issue.

Lately my Firefox browser has been failing to save logins, cookies, data in the cache, etc. This means I have to log in to everything, every time I want to access almost any site. Plus it usually has to load the whole page, which is for some strange reason taking longer than it really should. There is one other computer connected to our wireless router, that would be my mom's dinosaur Sony Vaio. However, it shouldn't be eating up the internet, but the DSL's never resting even when my comp is, and there's no one else on the other one. I'll need some help on this one.
