A few days ago I operated windows update as my system told me. Then from Friday, i turned my machine on, i typed my password in and logged in. Thereafter my mouse and keyboard seemed to become completely immobile. It confused the hell out of me. I havent done anyting wrong and I ve had this computer for three months. I was using Norton Antivirus and this still infiltrated my system.I am using my laptop via windows 98 and a cable modem. I do not go to bad siteds and i dont know why this happend to me.

I got the machine in safe mode. Looked into files that were modified date 10/20/2005, the time my problem started

    c:\windows\Local Settings\Application data\Application history\MIGPOLWIN.EXE.15E6CA96.ini.inuse
    ..........................................................................................\ngen.exe.2c05686e
    ..........................................................................................\REGSVCS.EXE.a711c9e3.ini.inuse
    ..........................................................................................\SLE344.TMP.472dd9da.ini.inuse

    c:\windows\options\cabs\snmp.exe

    C:\windows\winsxs\Manifests\X86_micresoft.windows.Networking.Dxmrtp_6595b

    C:Windows\WNBackup\winsxs\Manifests
    c:\Windows\wt\wtDRM\dem0302.dll
    C:\Windows\wt\wtDrm\Jdrm0302.dll

THEN I TRIED TO SEE WHAT ARE THE FILES MODIFED ON THAT DAY. SOME OF THEM ARE"

    C:\WINDOWS\All Users\Application Data\View point\View pointManager\Downloads\cache
    c:\c_dilla\safecast product license
    c:\Windows\SYSTEM\cat Root\CATMAST.cbd

    CATMAST.cbk
    HASHMAST.cbk

Then i finally ran Hijack This
