I have HP Pavilion laptop running Vista Home that isn't recognizing new Logitech M215 wireless mouse. Computer lists 2 mouse types it recognizes. When I plug in the Logitech M215, cursor will not respond (it remains frozen wherever it was at that point), and M215 is not added to "recognized" list. What do I need to do, or where to start, to be able to use this wireless mouse? Does this device need a driver?

    Hi

What Service Pack is your Vista at? if not at SP2 then update.

In Device Manager do you have any devices with yellow ! marks and if so what ones?

You don't need a driver for this as Logitech for this mouse uses the inbuilt one supplied via Windows, so what are the two mouse types that Windows recognises?

But you can try this HERE and use the connection utility listed to help.
