Freshdownload asks to be default every reboot.

This is driving me crazy. For the life of me I can't find any way to make it quit.
I am running XP. Mozilla Firefox 1.0. When I reboot, freshdownload asks to be the default download manager. I have it checked to always ask, and I always say yes. It works the way it's supposed to after that. If I had any hair, I'd be pulling it out.

    Any clues? Thanks.

    ArchAngel,

Maybe I am reading this wrong, I read it 10 times so here goes. If you have it checked to always ask, isn't that why it is asking each time. Is it an option to just say YES and not have the "always ask" box checked

Is it just supposed to ask when you start a download?

    Sorry, I wasn't clear.

When I reboot, it says that FreshDownload is not the default downloader. It will only ask if it isn't. I always answer "yes". For some reason, another download manager must be taking over. I think I'll run some scans.
In the meantime, if anybody has any other suggestions, I'm all ears.
