OK my CD copy of XP pro is SP1. If I create an XP pro SP2 or SP3 disk and try to use it for a future reinstall will it accept my old CD key? or is that CD key tied to an XP pro SP1 version?

    Thanks guys

If you use your original SP1 disc, and slipstream SP2 or SP3 into it and burn a new XP install disc, you can still use your product key without any problems. Personally, I wouldn't do SP3 just yet. SP2 is working fine, and I have created plenty of slipstreamed SP2 discs and they've worked fine and were actually really easy to make....

    I hope this helps! :-D
