13 page Excel 2010 file = 7Mb!

    What would make Excel 2010 save a 13 page file [copy of part of a 72 kb file] as 6.9Mb? Both file are landscape view on legal paper.

    How can I undo this or avaoid doing it in the future?
    The font size is the same.
