    Hello

Last night I noticed my computer running very sluggish so I scanned it with malware bytes and it found an infection.

I cleaned it but the computer is still running very slowly. Can you please look through my logs and tell me if I still have an infection.

    Thank you

Not seeing any malware at all.

Do you know what this is and can you even see it?

    • C:\Users\MrGrainger\AppData\Local???????????????????

I have no idea what this is, what should I do with it?

Delete it please, reboot and then check to see if it's not reappeared. Let me know.

OK, then I was seeing no more to do other than that here in this forum. If you still think the PC is running slowly, you can always post about it in the software forum, but do explain exactly what is running slowly:

Please explain what operations are slow! For example answer the below:

    • Is boot up slow?
    • Is shutdown slow?
    • Is browsing/surfing slow?
    • Is downloading slow?
    • Is running any application?
    • Is it also slow in safe boot mode?
    • Also are any process showing in Task Manager to be using a lot of CPU time?
    • Anything else slow?

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    Hi

I found out the problem is with G-Sync enabled when I am using an aero theme for my desktop the computer becomes very sluggish and when I close a window it can hang the system for a couple of minutes. If I disable the aero theme and use a basic theme the problem goes away.

Apparently some new Nvidia drivers fix this, so I will try them soon.

    Thanks for your help :)
