Ya, first time I saw that I got vertigo. I wonder how they ever built that?

Did you notice that people are harnessed to the steel cable? ;)

I noticed the steel cable, not that they were harnessed. I was surprised they were allowing people up there, so I'm glad they have some safety thing in place.

Honestly, I don't care if I was harnessed or not...I wouldn't be up there.

I made it to 1:36, and said fook this, I don't even want to watch it. :-D Don't care 'bout no stinking cable. Maybe the cable was made by the same people who made the trail that has crumbled down.

Word. I can't imagine walking on the thing, not to mention building it! :eek
Seems like they were skimpy on the rebar use also!

The more I think about it maybe that was by design, though. Perhaps the builders, with rock falls in mind, thought it better for rocks to punch through rather then transfer the impact force to a wider area of the path? I dunno - I'm no engineer. I just know there would have to be a powerful good reason for me to take that path.

    . . . well, maybe if Gandalf asked me . . . :-D

My son was reading that it was closed because of fatalities, and now they are restoring it over three years. That still may not get me up there.
