    Hello,

I am having an error message at startup and throughout the day on my pc. It is either SVChost no disk error, please insert disk, or windows no disk error, please inmsert disc. Does anyone know what happened or why my pc is doing this? Any clues are appreciated.

    Thanks

If you can post the actual error message, it will help to track it down.
Sometimes reported as a virus, but spelt very slightly different
It could be because of a failed download- and I have been looking into this for a while.
Svchost is a very important part of Windows, and here is a solution that worked for a lot of people by Scott Swigart
Try this,Start.Right click -my computer--propertie--automatic updates--turn off automatic updates-Restart your computer -Then in all programs go to -windows update- connect to the internet.-manually update windows.
    Restart.
    Turn automatic updates back on.
Keep watching the post, though , as there are some very well informed geeks on majorgeeks, who might be more informative.
