There's another one called WinErrs way down near the bottom of the MGeeks Diagnostics set. It says

"WinErrs is a database of 1,554 Windows error codes and their definitions. These codes are extracted directly from Microsoft Windows and are their descriptions. With over 1,500 error codes they certainly seemed prepared for the worst."

If Greg Braun's isn't the one you remember, mebbe this is it.

This error usually occurs when MDAC isn't installed at all or is not installed properly. MDAC is short for Microsoft Data Access Components which is a set of drivers that the software needs for database communication.

Download the latest MDAC from Microsoft and install. You also may need to uninstall/reinstall the PC companion software after installing MDAC.

thanks for reply i think i figured it out, 2 processes were running for graphics contoller: hot key and tray icon. stopping those at load or the fact i rebooted in safe mode a couple of times seems to have corrected it? i hope thanks for the link i saved it
