help with connections?

    Im in the process of connecting my pc to my lcd hdtv via vga, however I notice vga cables come in both male and female form. how do I know which one I need? any help with this would be appreciated.

    Hi

    Male connectors have the pins, female connectors have the holes for the pins. Look at your connectors... if your connector has pins, you need a female connector to connect to it, if it just has holes, it needs a male connector (you may have one of each, or both the same). USUALLY devices have female connections that need male connectors, but that ISN'T always the case.
