I recently got a virus in my computer and couldnt start in safe mode, tried the msconfig method for safe mode and still no dice so I gave up an used my recovery disk, the problem is that after reinstalling windows and updating everything Firefox and IE is really slow when they work, most of the time it just times out immediately when loading a page, I get the blue screen of death almost 3 times a day and Mbam, superantispyware, spybotS&D, and combofix cant find anything and rootrepeal wont even load, I downloaded some rootkit finder and it didnt find anything either. I dont understand whats going on an I need some serious help.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

I'm sorry but you will have to look elsewhere for your problems. You are not having malware problems as your logs are all clean. Many times, it is not malware that causes slow downs, epecially after a reinstall. You may have issues with your reinstall itself or what you are running. I suggest that you first just try uninstalling Advanced SystemCare 3, AVG9 and ZoneAlarm and then rebooting ( don't skip the reboot ) and then quickly just check to see how things are working. DO NOT operate for too long without protection! This is just a test to see if they are impacting you. Each of these programs can cause various things to slow down especially startup time. I also suggest that you remove McAfee Security Scan. I would not want to have this run evertime I start my PC and I see no need for it to keep running after the PC has finished startup.

If doing this does not change anything at all, post in the Software Forum about your problem. Make sure to mention that it only occurred after the reinstall. Some people have had issues after installing various versions of IE.

Since you are not having malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
