As of two days ago, I now see in the lower right task bar "TightVNC". I am unable to find it in the Programs and Features to remove it. I tried to do a system restore to 3 days prior but it's still there. I feel like someone had installed this listening program on my pc. I did use ShowMyPC with a tech support company a couple of days ago but I uninstalled that after the use. Can anyone help me as I have found on the internet that some hackers use this to change a registry and compromise a system. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate.

    Thank you

TightVNC is not malware. It is a legit VNC application used for remote desktoping into PCs. The company you used a few days ago and obviusly granted access to your PC most likely installed it or used a version that requires no installation.

If you cannot find it in your installed programs list then use the below tool to locate it's startup process/service and delete them.
