    Hi Majorgeeks,
Post malware infection and successful cleaning, I'm in the process of protecting my computer using you 'How to Protect you computer from Malware' recommendations and I find that I am falling at the first hurdle. I can't install any Windows updates and I keep on getting the above error message. I trouble shot for the solution and it looks as if I need to go into the system 32 to check it out. I don't really feel experienced enough, so I'm wondering if you can help me out in any way possible.
    Thanks,
    Superdan

This is really something you should work in the Software Forum if your PC has already had all malware removed.

    However try the below:

Please click Start, Run, and enter cmd and click OK. This will open a command prompt window. Enter the below command at the command prompt and then hit the enter key.

    %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\REGSVR32.EXE %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG.DLL

Now look for the C:\MGlogs.zip file and attach it no matter what happened while doing the above.

If that does not help, try disabling protection software while updating. And if that still does not work, I suggest that you continue in the Software Forum.
