Linux????

    this is prolly a stupid thread, but will linux run games?? i have a new homebuilt pc, but no money to buy a copy of windows. is there a free OS that i can get to play my games???

    Most likely the games you already have are for Windows and will not work on Linux. If you're a gamer, I'm afraid you may be stuck with Windows for now.

    That is a Yes and No answer.

    Some games have been ported to Linux but not many. If you are looking to play the latest games chances are it has not been ported to Linux.

    That isn't really accurate. You would have to look at the Wine DB to find out what is supported and to what level.
