Hi everyone! Yes, I'm new here.

My laptop seems to be infected with some malware, so I attempted to start it in safe mode to run the smitfraud fix tool. I typed misconfig in the run dialog box and checked safeboot, but at restart my system will not accept my password (I don't have admin privileges on that computer), and now it only restarts in safe mode - and I can't log in. Is there any way to restart the system in normal mode, or will I just have to wait until I go back to work Wednesday and get the system admin's help (and lip)?
