I don't think so and both you link are very devoid of any specifications and seem very expensive for a 19" they were making a suggestion.

    2nd don't ever buy a 19" widescreen.

A Dell made in Oct 2007 for $378 is a bloody rort!

Sorry if I seem to come across a bit blunt (that is just me).

Okay some keywords I was using in google were:
    - Best LCD Monitors 2009
    - LCD Monitor Shootout 2009

From there you will find heaps of links but it became apparent certain monitors will be better for certain activities, e.g. Gaming needs low response time, etc.

A good starting point from a good site is:

LCD Monitor Buyer's Guide: Winter 2008-2009

From there hopefully you will be able to extract what are the latest technologies and defining parameters for "current" monitors, e.g. Response Time, Refresh Rate, HDMI, etc.

    May provide some insight.

Excellent way to have specs listed for side by side comparison:

Hopefully that is a good starting point and allows you to empower yourself for the decision making process.
