I uninstalled a copy of Nero that came with a DVD Burner I bought some time ago and have just noticed that there are quite a few Nero references in the registry.
I can't remember what version it was and I have not installed another Nero program.
Is it safe to remove/delete these from the registry?
I am not an expert and am a bit hesitant to fiddle around with the registry. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply.
I forgot to mention that I have run CCcleaner. I followed your link and ran the clean-up. There are still 36 entries for Nero in the registry. Will this be a problem if I try to install Nero at a later date?

If the tit - bits are irking you try "Glaryutilities" A slightly more intrusive reg checker than CC but safe as well. But as Mark said no benefits to talk of.

MarkTrent, that is the link I mean't. I won't risk the manual deletion, I will take the advice given by you and sikvik and leave well enough alone. Thank you both for your time. old dog.

Unbelievable, no one steered him to Neros own uninstaller? It should remove even the registry entries.

Just hit the "More Details" button to drop down instructions and a download link. Copy the instructions to note pad and keep it with your download for next time. I use this even when I update from one version number to the next. And I never have issues with either installation or operation. If you installed InCd as well, there is a download for itys remover as well but its not a Nero product so google "InCd cleantool" if you need it. Actually InCd can cause more problems than anything Nero installs, even after removal.

Here's a bundle but its from 2005 which means its more than likely for Nero 6 or 7:

Definitely, run the Nero Clean Tool for your version or you may have problems if you later decide to install Nero again.

Thanks for the nicely laid out links Appzalien, I'll save them for quick navigation. ;)

No, you should presume I have had problems after uninstalling Nero with Windows add/remove programs. And I searched for a better way. Years ago as a mater of fact, I've been using Neros uninstall tools since version 5.5.
