And I'm still having this norton pop-up issue on my computer whenever I right click on anything this message comes up.




And now I also have a new program that installed itself and put this message on a black background on my desktop saying

ALL YOU DO WITH COMPUTER IS STORED FOREVER IN YOUR HARD DISK. WHEN YOU VISIT SITES, SEND EMAILS... ALL YOUR ACTIONS ARE LOGGED. AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE THEM WITH STANDARD TOOLS. YOUR DATA IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR FORENSICS. AND IN SOME CASES FOR YOUR BOSS, YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR WIFE, YOUR CHILDREN.

Every site you or somebody or even something, like spyware, opened in your browser, with all images, and all downloaded and maybe later removed movies or mp3 songs - ARE STILL THERE and could broke your life!


SECURE YOURSELF RIGHT NOW!


AND this icon continues to pop-up that's called SEXYGIRLS. Please help me get rid of these issues.. thanks everyone!!!

If that doesn't work then do the following:

We ask that you first try to do ALL the TUTORIAL listed below. We will then ask you for a HJT log. It must not be inline but rather as a .log or .txt attachment. HJT must be placed in it's own folder and not run from a zipped file. Be sure to close all unnecessary programs, it makes it much easier to read the HJT log.

This site has alot of good tools for cleaning up your computer. It's very important that the first thing you do is the following:

First, please follow ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal.
If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

Try this... you may find it's all you need. If not post your results and I am sure someone will help you. Everyone is quite busy, as you can see by the number of posts, so hang in there.

After doing ALL of the above if you still have a problem:

Make sure you have HijackThis 1.99 and follow the guidelines on where to install it and how to post a log as an attachment. This is all covered in the sticky thread NO HIJACK THIS LOG FILES BEFORE READING THIS: HJT Tutorial & LOG File Posting

Now post a HijackThis log as an attachment to your message (Do not post the log inline). All running programs should be closed, INCLUDING YOUR WEB BROWSER, e-mail. Close before running Hijack This!

To repeat: Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file. Place it in its own folder for example C:\Program Files\HJT

 

Thanks for the response, but I already did everything that was in that tutorial link and I still have the same problem. I included my hijack file as an attachment. Do you think I should just run a system restore and set the date to before I had this issue? Or could that be dangerous?

If you set it to an earlier date it may not fix the problem, it can be in that restore point. With XP, of course, you can restore and then unrestore if it doesn't work. When I had my problems I restored to an earlier point(when I know I didn't have it) and I still had problems. Wait to see what PP or Chaslang says to do.

 

Ok thanks, but what actually happends? I loose anything that was installed after the restore date? i will have whatever current work I've done right? Like my photoshop files, text files and e-mails? I could try that, but maybe I'll wait to clean my system. Let me see what everyone else recommends.

Hey guys I tried to do a system restore, but because I followed the tutorials on here and is said to turn off the system restore. Now for some reason I turned it back on and I can't switch it to any other days except today. Like all the restore points have been deleted. Would this happen if you turn it off? shouldn't the previous restore points still be somewhere on the systeM?

 

No, once you turn off system restore all of the old points are deleted. The reason we turn off system restore is because the problems will be embedded in those restore points. We do not turn it back on until it is cleaned up. PP and Chaslang are very good at getting rid of these bugs so hang in there.
