Programs I've used for years (also on XP Home) all of a sudden have stopped working. I have started getting the following message when I attempt to execute them:
    -------------------------
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MD-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
    -------------------------
I even get that message when I attempt to reinstall the program.
I know I should know this.... but.....

    Thanx Kodo,

I will make the changes, but it concerns me just a tad that this appears to be Win 2000 (et al) specific. Will it work on XP as well?
