    Hi,

I have a desktop running Win XP.
Had powercut twice and following that, I get the normal options to start in SAFE MODE, NORMALLY etc.
Problem is, now keyboard does not respond so I can't chose any option
    - which just makes Windows restart after 30secs.
And that just repeats until I kill the computer.

I've tried using different USB port and another keyboard, without luck.

    Any good suggestions?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

Take a look in Device Mgr. and right click keyboard>properties and update driver.

Thanks, but I can't get to DEVICE MGR - windows doesn't start properly, but gives me the options
    SAFE MODE
    SAFE MODE WITH NETWORK
    SAFE MODE WITH COMMAND PROMPT
    START NORMALLY

    - but since the keyboard doesn't respond, I can't choose any of these options and after 30secs Win XP just reboots.

How do I get out of this relay?

If you have a PS2 port on your MB and a PS2 keyboard you could try that.
