AD-Aware Command Line

In lavasoft's documentation it shows how to run an install and scan through a command line. See next:

C:\Lavasoft\Ad-aware\Ad-Aware.EXE "C:\My documents" +L:"C:Logs\" +a +1 +R:"C:\testreflist.ref" +S +P:"D:\safeprefs.ini"

This example will load Ad-aware from C:\Lavasoft\Ad-aware\Ad-Aware.EXE, scans C:\My documents in silent, full automated-mode, using indepth scan, using the following reference file : C:\testreflist.ref , loading a particular preferencefile from D:\safeprefs.ini.

This works great. However, each time I run it the only thing it does is, scan the files, I cannot see it doing a deepscan of the registry and the active processes.

Here is the command I am running:
C:\cleanup\Ad-Aware.EXE "C:\Documents and Settings" +L:"C:\cleanup\" +a +1 +R:"C:\cleanup\reflist.ref" +S +P:"c:\cleanup\prefs.ini"

I have tried it a million ways, went into lavasoft gui and set all of the preferences, process, registry, auto clean, etc. then copied that pref file over to my command line install, it still does not work.

Any ideas??

The free one Ad-aware 6.0. It all appears to work fine except for not running the registry and process scan.

I checked and they settings are already there. Remember I am trying to run this from the command line. I have reinstalled, and used the default prefs.ini file to load, but still no luck.

Someone may want this so I am posting my own solution:

If you install ad-aware and then copy the entire installation to a different directory (as I did c:\cleanup) you can then install and run the scans through a bat file.

The first command does the install and runs the process and registry deep scan. The second will then scan the entire drive. No replies needed.
