I have spent two hours undoing the mongolian fuster-cluck known as Firefox 2.0. Before upgrading (?) to this version, go to the Mozilla.com forums and read the horror stories, which I, being stupid, didn't do. I diddled around with this mess but finally I uninstalled 2.0, went to my downloads files and reinstalled the old version. Everything works fine and I'll now wait 'til verson 20.1 comes out! I hope Major Geeks is putting out a big warning on this version of Firefox.

You're the first one here to complain about it being a mongolian fuster-cluck; what kind of problems did you have? And what kind of warning would you recommend?

Lost all my bookmarks, couldn't set new bookmarks, couldn't close tabs. Read the horror stories on the forums at Mozilla.com for more. I was lucky. I could undo the disaster. By the way, I'm running a new Dell with one gig of RAM and Windows XP Home Edition. 8 Ball, you're either a much better man than I am, or much luckier. I'll wait for version 2.1, thanks!

i did run into one bug, my tool bar wouldnt remeber settings, it is also related to the bookmark thing.
I am so used to mozzilla anything breaking every once n awhile I will save a back up of it.
really though it is nice to use(FF2) I think my only Peeve is that I cant add A maill button.
After some digging I figured out the problem , If Your system, nott FF crashes while your logged to the ff2.0 browser, it is possible that "localstore.rdf" file in the profile folder may have been corrupted.
I put it in more detail on my site, but for an easy fix close FF completely, and restartit in safefox via my programs, simply reset toolbars and controls and apply.
Now if I had a backupof my mozilla FF icould do the above, then overwrite mozilla and blame it on my pc that crashed and screwed everything up ;)

The updater in Firefox 1.5.0.7 isn't capable of handling major updates. Shortly, there will be a 1.5.0.8 update which includes a new updater, 2.0 will be available as an update a week or so later.
