Is there a command in WinXP's command prompt that allows you to turn SERVICES on/off?
Is there a program that you can use for this if the command does not exist?

    thanks for any input.

i don't know about turning all the services off. i don't know how much your computer would like you then. however, if you open up a run box and type services.msc that will bring up all the services for you to enable/disable

I learned a new command. Thankyou.

I'll have to study this further. I use to use:

Net start .... to list the currently running services.

Yeah sc and netsh are two of the best things in the command line now. And then you got tasklist and taskkill. You can't do pretty much everything from that command line, which is awsome for administration purposes.

Actually sc stop "service name" did not work for me. However, net stop "service name" works.
