I just got a new PC about a week ago it's an HP pavilion a522n and it was upgraded for free to 512 MB and a 160 GB hdd well after a few days the PC started acting sour i first noticed it would ask if i wanted to boot windows normally or go into Recovery, few hours later the HDD started making loud static like noises and it's non stop, Now every time on start up Windows is supposed to play some kind of music,Well it doesn't play the music only does it on shutdown or restart.

Something is going on but i have no idea what, I've run afew anti virus scans and they were clean.Maybe the HDD is going bad?

Try a diagnostic tool from the manufacturer. Hard drives are the #1 item to fail in computers.
