Cool Solitaire for 8.1

My wife loves MS solitaire. Imagine the dissappointment when the new 8.1 didn't have solitaire on it. And the 100mbyte classic from the app store was even more dissappointment. MajorGeeks has a pretty good game.

We tried many others but this is the one that gets played the most. I've used it on Vista '7' and 8.1. Good efects. options and redo's. If anyone misses the solitaire - this is the go to game!

Have it. It's ok. But you have to try this Klondike forever. It's just good.

 

I have Klondike on my Win7. I mostly just play Spider Two Suit on Win8.1 and then only occasionally also 123 is light weight. Actually I spend most of my free time reading.

 

Agree that mahjong is as good or better with as much variety as solitaire. I have quite a few versions. One is Hotel Mahjong Deluxe. Free version. 20 floors 4 rooms each floor. Rooftop terrace, casino, and lounge. Takes a while to play the whole suite.

I'm avoiding the appstore unless I ever get on a hotwired internet connection. Will continue with MG and other sources I'm allready used to. Besides my 8 only goes online ever now and then.

 

Yeah, I know this is a old thread. Been 4 1/2 years. There's a new Windows in town. I have a spare pc in the house that has Win 10 and use it when another pc goes down. This time it was 'her' Win 7. And she loves Klondike.

I dl'd the Win10 Entertainment Pak that supposedly had all the missing things from previous versions. Well, guess what? Not good enough!

So I dl'd this again and put it on the '10 and it plays good as heck!
I know some of you prefer other games or other hobbies, but if you like klondike and wish for your old fix back, this is a good choice.

I know my wife can't be the only one who likes this game. So hope someone tries it and proves MG's not wrong to still have it listed!

 

I have had 123 solitaire installed on my Windows PCs for years. I only play Klondike on that. I have a few other solitaire type card games installed as well as Mahjong Titans.
