How do i see if windows XP is missing comonents. from the RUN menu what do i type

    I am needing some HELP my computer just keeps closes web pages & throwing error messages at me. I want to check whether there is any missing security comonents & i have fixed my XP before. by placing a command in the RUN!!!!!!!!1 box but i cannot remember what i typed or where to find it again please HELP
