HELP- Cannot open certain programs!!

    It keeps asking me which program to chose to open the file. It does open word and excel, and internet but not other programs. I have run the malware and virus removal steps and seems that didn't fix the problem.
    Please Help!!

    First Things first:
    Do not post the same question in multiple threads!

    I take it your trying to open general applications with the .exe extention and if so follow the steps provided by TimW on the other thread but if not what is the file extention you are trying to open?
    The circled area following the DOT indercates the extenetion type:
