  1. I just had cox/time warrner cable 'net installed and woat to put up my wireless again. But the problem i had before was a weak signal...the wireless router was in my bedroom ... and i don't get a very good signal if i close the door. can i get another modem and put all of it in the middle of the house? BUT, the cable there is for my TV. Can i get a cable spliter and use it to run my wireless and my cable TV at the same time? Or maybe use two wireless routers ( one on each end of the house) or would this be a conflict? I need RANGE!! and lots of it... Oh i have XP media and the "main" computer- me one one and XP Pro on the laptop.and I'm using the cox router with a belkin g wireless.

Find out if high gain antenna's are available for the wireless cox router.

  3. Maybe i have router-modem mixed up. Modem is the one the the cable goes to first right? Anyway i have a belkin wireless g+ router? is that right? that only has one antenna do they make extenders for this model? Or should i go for a dual antenna model.I hate to be cheap but.... what would you recommend? On the cheap-but-good side?

What model Belkin router do you have? Some routers do not have a removable antenna so it would be difficult replacing it. Look up your model and go to http://www.hyperlinktech.com. You can ask them if they sell a high-gain antenna for your model router.

There is No "Magic Wireless Router" that cover evry enviroment

Buy few units interconnect them and create an Access System.

Link to: Wireless What Should I Get?

The best Method to Extend Wireless Coverage depends heavily on the Specific Envioroment.

Look at these pages they describe most of the options that are within the means of Entry Level users, and choose the one that fits you envioroment best.

In general, the best Method involves using multiple units connected with wire to the source.

Or WDS, ( http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Modes.html ) system using Hardware of one Brand across the board.

Wired connected Access Point is the best solution since WDS cuts the "Speed" into half past the second unit.
