I'm having problems with malware and i've followed all the steps we're suposed to ( except posting a HJT log, but I'm typing this from work so i'll post it later. ). My comp is running slow, and something is also messing with the websites i go to. I'm not able to go to Google, and various other sites, but Google is kinda a big deal since it's always worked before no prob. Sometimes when i go to sites it'll say i'm there, but it won't navigate me away from the current page i'm on. Other times it takes me to the Windows " There is no website with that name. " site. Other times it just error's. I can't system restore for some reason, and the only thing that was found was a Trojan Dropper Winad. H in the restore folder. It was deleted and it didn't help much. Any clue as to what this is?

Well once you get home post the HJT log and we'll take a look.

Don't forget the other logs too, Activescan and bitdefender.

How did you get on with windows defender, and spybot ?

We'll be here when your ready to post the logs.

All the scan since the first bitdefender have come up clean. I'm at a loss, as what to do. I've run all the stuff with no findings, and i'm worried i'm gonna have to reformat. I don't mind doing it, but i want to transfer over all my music and video's. Problem is i don't know what the malware is in, so i wouldn't know if it's in a movie or music file, and i don't want to transfer that over as well. I was wondering is there any way to fix it so that i can do system restore?

    Post the logs anyway.

SOmetimes scans won't show things that we here can see from your HJT log.

Heres my HJT log. Also it seems that my Spy Sweeper is unable to check for updates. What could that mean?

    Your HijackThis log is clean.

Anything in System Restore can't be deleted by an Antivirus application. You must disable system restore and flush all restore points, to clear any viruses contained in a restore point.
