    Hi everyone,

Our family computer has been extremely temperamental the last few weeks, which resulted in my brother restoring the computer so that we all had to open new accounts, but all our older files (and in my case, all my music) could still be accessed through the Documents & Settings folder in the C: drive.

I moved all of my music files from the older folder to my new user account, but haven't been able to play any of them. They are still all the same size as before, but aren't recognised when I try to play them. A friend of mine mentioned that it may be something to do with security, but I'm a little technologically challenged when it comes to things like that.

If anyone knows a way to play these files again, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    DorothyJane.

Might it be that you don't have a proper MP3 player installed? It might seem weird but sometimes this happens. If you have an MP3 player you can drag your MP3's over to your player and then see if they play there. If they do then it must have something to do with your computer.

Yeah they work fine on my sisters computer. It's really strange. It's something to do with the users and security settings...
