Question about reinstalling XP Home

    I've seen several posts advising people that they can insert their XP cd and perform a sort of diagnostic reinstall that just looks for corrupted or missing MS files and fixes them, rather than a total reinstall.

    I've inserted my "Dell" reinstallation cd for XP Home and there does not appear to be an option for this.
