    Hello,

Today I ran the removal apps on one of my father's computers. Roguekliller hangs on "checking services: gdrv". I had to kill Roguekiller in the task manager to get it to shut down.

I think gdrv is a gigabyte driver for the motherboard. I was able to reboot into safemode and run Roguekiller. I'm not sure if the results are the same in safemode because not all the drivers are loaded. The scan found a couple of other things but nothing major.

I have attached the logs since there were a few things in the section where you didn't want users to remove clean without instructions.

Please let me know if I need to run Roguekiller differently and what to do about the other items.

I am not seeing any malware in your logs. What issues are you having other than with RogueKiller?

Thanks for having a look. Browise2save was quarantined by Malware Bytes, but there were at least two other items that were identified by other scanners. I didn't clean because the instructions said not to, with the exception of quarantine for what Malware Bytes found. I don't remember what these things were and I don't see anything in the logs either. They looked like toolbars or some other unwanted software as opposed to malware. I will run the apps again and take better notes. The computer is performing pretty well, but since this is my father's computer, I run scans and do some maintenance on it a couple of times per year. There is almost always something that is found and removed. He generally can't use the computer with the kind of locked down browser and security settings that I typically use, so I guess periodic removal is something I have to live with.

I will let you know if I find anything else. Do you think that running RogueKiller in safe mode is acceptable?

Yes....and you are welcome. Do let me know if anything pops up. I will wait a while before giving you final cleanup instructions.
