    Hi,
My friend has had a fair few virusses before, but usually they are easy to get rid of (the usual, go to safe mode with malware bytes, run it. kill everything, do a once over in normal mode then use hitman pro) but now we are struggling, well I am as he gets me to do it as he doesnt have a clue with computers. Since the virus infection this time round (He had a virus infection last yaer, was cleared fully) but now for a few months (I havent looked at it in a while, dont worry I haven't just been aimlessly doing stuff for a quarter of the year) the computer will not let you save things to C: and only to D: which is his second drive for games etc... and you cannot open some programs like steam, firefox and a few others without running as admin, you either get an error or nothing happens. Paint wont let you save to anywhere unless ran as admin. I am unsure what to do next as he is set on not formatting his computer and re installing windows. the nearest thing he will do is the windows 10 upgrade, which he still cant be bothered with for a few weeks. Also I have found the CCleaner will take a while to scrub internet explorer temp files (history, cookies etc..) Even though i have gone into program and features and disabled it. There are no malicious programs on there and no anti virus is picking anything up (AVG, malware bytes, eset, housecall, panda, avast) As you can see, i've gone through loads. The only one to pick something up was about a 2 weeks ago when everything else wouldnt, it was kaspersky virus removal tool, but when I tried to install the trial of the full thing, it crashed everytime. I am not sure whether the infection has just left a lot of damage (if so, how do we patch it up?) or whether we still have a really bad virus. At this point we are willing to try anything and everything and any information you need just ask.

Its a windows 7 64bit machine, custom build.

It could be ..... but to be sure, we need you to follow these instructions:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

If you can't download to your computer, download to a different computer and transfer via thumb drive to your desktop.
