"DLL Initialization Failed"

Not sure where to post this.

I got up this morning and nothing on my desktop will open. I get the same error message every time I try to open a file or application:

(application) DLL Initialization Failed
"The application failed to initialize because the window station is shutting down."

I also got the same error, with the header "kqqrl.exe DLL Initialization Failed" This popped up on its own.

As I type this, my cursor is blinking.

I have Windows XP

 

Anybody?

 

Why does my question go unanswered?

 

Did I mention I pay in chocolate? Bud Lite? Espresso?

Check your machine for virus and malware/spyware/trojans.
