Hi a friend of mine took his Samsung HD out of his HP puter and placed it a generic Athlon 64 I built for him. He set the Samsung up as slave to the Seagate and the seagate as master. He wants to transfer files off the Samsung to the Seagate. Not operating system stuff just pics, music, etc. However bios sees the Samsung, Windows sees the Samsung, but Windows Explorer says the drive isn't formatted and we know it is. Both HPsystem and Athlon sys are running XP. Any ideas?
    Thankx

what are the drives SATA or PATA? haven't you messed up with master and slave jumpers? if they are PATA try to hook them on different cables.
