Today I downloaded this tool having no idea that it was a spyware/malware. When ever I open my facebook ie. www.facebook.com, it displays facebook as usual with no difference in the URL whatsoever ie. the URL stays the same www.facebook.com. But when I put in my login information and password the facebook gets redirected to a BLANK page

    h t t p://chips01.justfree.com/croft.php?charset_test=%E2%82%AC%2C%C2%B4%2C%EF%BF%BD%2C%EF%BF%BD%2C%3F%2C%3F%2C%3F&locale=en_US&non_com_login=&email=Email**************&pass=*******&pass_placeholder=Password&charset_test=%E2%82%AC%2C%C2%B4%2C%EF%BF%BD%2C%EF%BF%BD%2C%3F%2C%3F%2C%3F&lsd=BCZUb.

This is when I realised that my computer was infected. After that I also noticed differences in the facebook page (image1). The facebook URL is the same but then the page structure is a little different, I mean to say there are ????? and weird fonts below and whenever you try to click any other link it shows "THE REQUESTED URL WAS NOT FOUND".(image2= This is what happened after I clickd the Advertising link in the facebook home page.) Below are the images of my infected facebook page and the other image of the URL not found.

Kindly Please help me with this issue. Thanks in advance

I tried to scan the web page using Avast Realtime Web Shield and it gave me this
    h t tp://www.facebook.com/ajax/ua_callback.php?ffid=34mtnQvOYuw9Sgi8gBoM1A%3D%3D&qm=http%3A%2F%2Fchips01.justfree.com%2Fcroft.php&asyncSignal=8612

This shows that facebook is getting redirected to that page using the ajax whatever. Can anyone please help me to fix this problem?

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

What tool are you referring to and have you uninstalled it?

If you want to check for malware, please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Please follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

    Heyy Chaslang,

Thanks for the reply. I have already tried the Malwarebytes software without any help. I would like you to know it was not a tool but a specific file or to say an .exe file which I unknowingly opened. Could you please help me? In the mean time I am downloading MGTools and I will let you know what is the result.

You need to follow ALL of the instructions I gave you and then attach the 5 requested logs. Without the logs, we cannot help you.
