Yes, you have to use what are called KVM extenders: http://www.minicom.com/kvm_mini.htm

The Mini KVM Extender is a high value, affordable solution for extending your KVM console from your computer or KVM switch to a distance of up to 70m/230ft away over clutter free CAT5/6/7 cables.

But due to you want multiple locations: http://www.minicom.com/kvm.htm

yes and no, Multi-monitor Clone is a mode on multiple monitor graphics cards that will clone the display so that every monitor attached to the system is cloned off what would be a typical one monitor setup. You would have to find a graphics card that will support such a thing, now getting around to putting a keyboard and mouse at every monitor will require a splitter and

just happens to have the solution, you'll of course need extra length of ps2 cable to route to each spot in the house.

a KVM switch is a way to control multiple computers with one monitor/keyboard/mouse.... dont but one if you only want to control and use 1 computer.

ok i meant buy one, anyhow, it is possible not done too much id say, pure fact of things only one user could utilize the one computer, so if you would want to use same computer anywhere around house sure youll just need the extra cables to go through the house back to the machine and then setup any graphics cards your using in clone mode. then add extra splitters and those splitters through y mouse can be splitted again and again for more and more keyboards. any how your gonna have a wired nightmare at the back of the machine but it would technically work in this manner. But only for one person at a time to use and one location at a time.

y mouse vendor makes a monitor cable splitter too so you wont need to go buy a new graphics card
