I've been trying to download a small program off emule (zip-file), but every single version I get has a Trojan in it according to AVG (Trojan Downloader.Generic6, SdBot, Bagle, ... ). Would it be safe to install the program anyway, and then run AVG to remove whatever Trojan came with it, or could I somehow remove the Trojan without ruining the file? Could these be false positives? How would I check for false positives?

You should remove Emule .....unless you like battling trojans and viruses.

You are right about emule=trojans... I got infected once pretty bad... but i can't give up emule - too much good stuff, both for work and play... Just need to scan all files, and then scan them again after unzipping, and so forth with all the programs I have.
