problem after running combofix

Why were you running ComboFix to begin with? Were you having malware problems? If ye, what problems. Were you running our cleaning procedure? You need to attach the requested logs from our cleaning procedure so we can see what was going on. When you uninstall ComboFix, it does not change any system files so your problem is not from uninstalling ComboFix. It could however be from running any scanner (including ComboFix) which has either replaced or deleted and infected system file. Since Microsoft is too brain dead to tell you which files have been corrupted, we need to see the logs so that we could possibly figure out which ones may have been affected. For all we know, you may still have infections.

If we cannot figure out which files and you do not have a Windows XP SP3 CD, then you would have to reinstall SP3. You could also first check Microsoft update to see if you require any updates. Sometimes an update could also contain the required file.
