Left Field Question - VPN

    Hey gang -

    I teach myself IT things as a hobby and am curious about a VPN-like connection I have seen. We have people that connect to other companies via web browser and, after they log in, the browser shows a pc desktop at the remote location.

    Can you point me to where I start learning how this is done?

    Thanks for the links. I was unclear... they are not connecting to individual PCs, I'm pretty sure. There are 15 of them, and I cannot imagine a bank of 15 systems at the other location just sitting and waiting. Seems more like they get a connection that then presents a virtual desktop perhaps?
