Compatable replacement for Matshita UJ8A7AS DVD-RAM drive. (ATA)

I have a Samsung Series 7 laptop Model Number: NP700Z5B-S01U , Intel Core i7-2675QM CPU @ 2.2 Ghz , 8 GB RAM, 64 bit O/S, running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1, with Matshita UJ8A7AS DVD-RAM drive. (ATA).
It won't recognize discs. I have tried using a CD/DVD cleaner, uninstalling and reinstalling the driver to no avail. I do believe it is DOA. I'm trying to find a replacement CD/DVD Burner Drive but it seems like the Matshita company is no longer in business so I can not buy a new one of that make/model. Can you please recommend a compatible CD/DVD Burner Drive?
