    At desktop XP SP3 StartUp,
Click IE brings insert box referencing C:\Windows\system32\v2inet.dll.

    Contains recognition pattern of SPR/TOOL.SPY.PCPANDORA.A.
    Default at Deny Access.
Whether OK that or Quarantine or any other option, up comes,
    iexplore.exe - Application Error.

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022). Click OK to terminate the application."

When do so, am returned to my StartUp screen; nothing else; cursor is "arrow" not "hour glass" or absent.

    Click IE, again same result.

Tried two RESTORE POINTS at Safe Mode.
Each showed "incomplete restoration"; and same insert box ANTIVIR GUARD: ATTENTION, DETECTION!

It is not a virus inasmuch as this occurred immediately after a 3 hour complete Avira scan. Virus and various other categories all 0.
Except 8 Warnings, 4 from Master Boot "device not ready"; 4 from Archives, "Could not be opened", incl. Win\Sys3\drivers\sptd.sys

In desparation went to ALL PROGRAMS & CTRL PANEL/LISTING to uninstall Avira completely.
All Programs did nothing but retain the Application Error insert; Ctrl Panel, soon after began removing contents, spontaneously shutdown computer completely.
At restart, unable to activate the program uninstall at all.

It's difficult to express my frustration and can only hope one of you knowledgable colleagues has a solution. There is little worse than loss-of-use of computer customarily in daily use.
