Sound problems with Sony VAIO VGN-T17

    Hi I am having problems obtaining sound from my Sony VGN-T17, after it lost the sound whilst loading another program.

    Here is the Everest report

    Have you uninstalled the program that likely caused this loss of sound? or run System Restore to go back to a point before this happened?

    Thanks for the reply

    Its a bit too late for that - should have done that originally.

    The HDD was remormatted and tried to restore that way.

    Everything ok, but just the sound
