Lost Internet Connectivity

HELP!!! After running pest patrol and noadware to get rid of this "home search assistent" thing, I lost access to the internet. I erased all files found by pest patrol and since then I can't connect any program. The modem seems to be ok and there are some information geting in and out according to the modem software, besides it works fine in my old computer. In my many tryes to solve this problem, I found that the files winsock32.dll , wsock.vxd and wsock32.vxd wouldn't appear on the search, could this be related? I'm going crazy, What can I do?

 

Ok.I did it. I used winsock2fix and everything seems fine now.
