I can't seem to hook up my video camera to my computer. Can't get USB cable to work.

    I do have USB ports so it should be working, right? I've been trying to follow the directions, but it hasn't worked. I have everything that it needs, but I've figured out that it's just the USB cable that's not working. Can anyone help?

    Camera Type- JVC GR-D70
    Computer- Dell Inspiron 5160 Pentium 4 Processor

    Just ask for any other information you might need.
