I can search Google fine by using the address typed into the url bar, but if I use Google through Firefox's search engine toolbar, I'm still redirected to search.insiteapp.com.

First off, I am not familiar with a lot of the language used here, so I'm unsure of what I should be doing. I ran a thorough scan through Avast, which came up with nothing. After some searching, I found this site. I followed steps 1, 3, and 4 given here. I cannot do anything to reset my router, because I'm not allowed to touch it. I can't ask the person who is allowed to touch it to follow step 2, because he knows nothing about computers and I'd get verbally abused/possibly kicked out.

I'm just wondering, what now? The problem wasn't fixed and I'd hate to have it render my computer unusable. Should I go ahead and back my music/pictures up on my external hd and do step 5? I'm just really confused. :(

    Thanks for any help~
